The best of the ocean, the best of the land...

Hossegor was born at the turn of the century, the Hostellerie de la Forêt much later…
The building itself was constructed in Soorts (meaning "spring" or "source" in patois) in 1830 as a convent.
A ministerial decision in 1912 merged the muncipality of Soorts with that of Hossegor.

Today, the former convent provides a setting of great charm and harmony. The hotel has 15 rooms and there is a gastronomic restaurant offering traditional regional specialities, notably fish and duck, which can be enjoyed beside the fireplace in winter or out in the shade of the century-old catalpa trees on the terrace in summer.
